The next time Melo wins something of note, without Hakim Warrick swiping a block on one of his man's blow-bys, or without Gerry McNamara filling it up from Egypt..will be the first since 2003.

Tbt he will probably he even better than I think he will. I have set the bar pretty low for him. Ryno role. Low 20s minutes. There’s a decent chance he reverts to Olympic melo and forces his way into the finishing 5. in that case golden state is in big big trouble.

cc is switch just about everything. GSW will get whoever they want guarding Durant. Heck we saw Durant posting up Paul more times than I can count in WCF. It didn’t matter who was guarding him, in a battle of ISO, CC and hardwn are king. GOAT GSW was very lucky to win.

I'm sure melo will have nights on fire and be the difference.
I look for 2 things.
Demeanor when he sits last 5 minutes because
1) he was being abused by a fast 3 or a powerful 4 when he was in game in q3 vs the #1s
or
2) just because other pels are playing well in hotly contested game.

I don't think the Rockets are going to be as good as they were last year, but it's not because they're paying peanuts for Melo to be an 8th man.

They will be good. Very good. They're trotting out CP3/Harden/Capela still.
