I am indeed a simple man. But I would love to be regaled by your towering intellect. I am a student in the game of life and never miss an opportunity to learn from the self- anointed Great Minds of Our Time. So drop some wisdom so I can be as impressed with you as you are with you.

For the record, it’s now flooding and still lightning like crazy in Dallas.

Jesus people.
ESPN has every PM time slot filled with college football from now until Tuesday, minus Sunday NFL.
ESPN owns the bowl game, promised sponsors a captive audience, and now they can’t deliver. And they don’t want to move it and risk another sponsor getting pissy. So they canceled it.
Stop bitching about the pussificatuon of america. Capitalism canceled this game.

Have they started serving their own food yet? I think it's lame they tell you to go down the street to that pizza place.
I really like Las Almas Rotas and that ranch water drink they have.

That’s a valid argument. I’ll accept it.

No. You can bring in or order in from wherever though. Not just the pizza place.

There’s actually a significant weather advisory moving eastward as that boundary moves.
Don’t think folks wanna see tornado football.
Well this is the MSB, maybe they do.

Of course that’s nice that bad weather is “ moving westward “ but the game would have finished an hour ago had they just played the freaking game .

Its actually eastward. That’s my mistake: the SWA is in West Texas with tornado watches currently in west of ft worth and south of Dallas Metro

Really, if there is a lightning bolt anywhere in that part of Texas the risk is just too much. How can we play football when there is a one in 16.5 million risk of death by lightning ? And all those people driving home should be forcibly stopped from driving with the road conditions. I mean , people could die and we need to eliminate all risk of death for the children and for NPCTH03 and for all the nannies and doilie-folders and milk soppers who worry themselves to death about such things.

Hundreds of Americans die every year due to lightning strikes ! No ?
Around twenty Americans die every year due to lightning strikes ? Wow.
So my chance of dying because of lightning is around 1 in 16 1/2 million?
Did it ever dawn on you that lightening strike fatilities are low because everyone goes indoors when lightening is in the area?

Well I could have listed all the people ( zero ) killed by lightning at stadiums in the last ten years out of tens of millions. Seriously, it’s a reasonable risk and it should be handled on a case by case basis using common sense.Instead there is a ridiculous 10 mile /30 minute rule that almost assures an hour long delay when the risk is negligible. Once the storm blew through, the skies were blue and calm they could have played with no risk. And if another cell approached they could have shut it down. But the stupid bureaucratic 30 minute rule serves no purpose other than to ruin the experience for every fan who paid big dollars to travel and attend the game. The risk was minimal and it is a complete bureaucratic overreaction.

They could have moved the game to 9 am and got it in.
