I think they win their first round match up with the blazers due to them being a good matchup. I think jrue will hold his own on either Lilliard or McCollum. I also think they can push the warriors to 6 games if they meet up in the semis

I dunno, but hopefully they do the $1 beers outside the arena again.

I want to see the pelicans advance past the 1st round. I’m hoping it lines up to where I can double dip with the Zurich classic and a pens home playoff game.

No way.

Well, I take that back, AD is probably the best possible counter to Nurkic on defense.

That means Portland will live and die by their guard play outside of the arch which could be straight fire or straight ice.

Game 6 would be the Thursday of the Zurich, but that's it.

He will need to play the best defensive basketball of his life for Pels to have a chance, IMO.

ETA: And he's been VERY good this year on defense.

Nope. I do think that AD will win his first playoff game, though. But that will probably be all he wins.

My hope is that jrue can at least minimize the damage done by either dame or McCollum. In not expecting jrue to shut down either one. I know it's a long shot, but hopefully solo can provide good perimeter D.

Yes. I think on any given day, they could trounce any team in the playoffs. AD and the rest of the squad are playing out of their minds right now, blowing the doors off of the Spurs and Warriors this past week. They are primed to make a deep run.

Man, rondo is playing out of his mind. If he sustains his current play then in with you in terms of a deep run.

I think Portland is the better team but New Orleans matches up pretty favorably with them. I see that being a deep series either way with NO being an underdog but not a big one.

Blazers pelicans have a 7 game series written all over it.

That series and Utah OKC will both be really good I think

What do you think about the twolves and rockets series? Having Jimmy butler back is obviously huge. Maybe an underrated series?

I’m biased but I don’t think it goes past 5 games. Maybe 6 in the absolute worst case scenario.

The quality of the Rockets depth is just so much better than Minnesota IMO. Minnesota’s depth on the wing is a joke, they need to get 38-40 excellent minutes from Butler (who just came back but looked good last night) and Wiggins (who just isn’t that good).

If Towns and Butler go supernova they can make it interesting but it’s hard to predict that.

Yeah, I am with you on that analysis. I'll add that rockets will win in 5, but all of the games will be competitive.
