We didn’t do crap to them. Oh that’s right, we need their oil instead of drilling for our own.

PGA playing protectionist which is fine but it’s going to hurt them in the long run.. they are feeding bullshite to loyal reporters who are stepping over themselves to do the tours dirty work..
Simply working with players would’ve solved this as the tour could’ve used this tour as a bridge to keep older players relevant while getting younger players some pressure situations to bolster them to stardom

Exactly. It’s not like the PGA tour is running their league like MLB pre-Curtis Flood
It’s that the Saudis have no profit motive at the moment. Now I suspect the NFL and NBA cost too much for them to do the same thing but if they really wanted to, they could do the same thing as LIV and the collective bargaining wouldn’t mean much of anything.

The average TD user shares a lot in common with wanting to support a brutal theocracy that hates women and stones people to death.

No way they could pull the needed athletes out of the US market for any of the US big 3.. golf is an individual transient sport

Its ok for the PGA Tour to support events in nations with death camps and an active genocide though.

It’s the equivalent of Russia paying insane cash for a golfing tour.
frick these golfers playing in it.
frick these golfers playing in it.

But Chinese events are OK right

Where do we sign up to be canceled and get the dirty Saudi money?

Just saw Reauxl comments. How I feel

I was thinking about that. They could easily destroy tennis right now. I think team sports would be a bit difficult.

Only when it comes to sports though. It's okay when they invest $ into successful companies, twitter, uber, etc.
This!!! Doesn’t the main Saudi investor for LIV own like 5% of Twitter? I’m sure all the morally superior will delete their Twitter anytime now

They suck too, as does Australia.

In NBA terms, the PGA is a slaveowner. The slaves can get treated better and make more money elsewhere.

Are we thinking that the USA runs the PGA Tour?

I’m sure the PGA is a shady organization.
I think all time the PGA Tour is over $3 billion in charitable giving and is a non-profit. I mean, the product can sometimes blow, but comparing the organizations is hilarious.

PGA players get 56% of the revenue generated
Not as a payment directly to them. They make zero salary from revenue, and that is not right.

The current agreement runs through 2021, and is estimated to pay the PGA Tour $400 million annually.
That would mean the players get 224M paid to them...bullshite
And that's only TV

48% of revenue goes to nfl players pockets
55% of revenue goes to pga tour players pockets
I’m sure the PGA tour would be more than happy to only pay the players 48% and make it salary instead
quote:The players will get 838 million in 2022. So just a hair over 224 million
That would mean the players get 224M paid to them...bullshite
You might want to do a little research man. You aren’t even close

Pga tour is actually 55%, not 56%. I apologize
Here are the numbers
Percentage of revenue given to athletes by each league:
Percentage of revenue that goes to players
PGA= 55%
MLB = 54%
NBA = 50%
NHL = 50%
NFL = 48%
