No i like the committee idea. The issue is there’s no set way of entry.

Hell, they even have undefeated Coastal who beat Louisiana ranked several spots behind two-loss Iowa State.

What a damn joke.

what is the average star rating of the top 50 players on each roster?

Is that one of the ranking criteria?

The only thing I got from the show was confirmation that Rece Davis is a first class jerk & a Bama bandwagon arse hole. Didn't give us any credit for beating Florida last week.

So Texas should be ranked #5 right now?

That's because they're kangaroos and change criteria from week to week.

If there was a set way you wouldn’t need a committee

coastal Carolina #12

Ranked Wins over ULL and BYU

Losses zero

Iowa state #6

Ranked wins over Texas and OU

Losses to ULL and Okie state

In no sane world can this be justified

Hocutt when they put in tOSU in started it

You mean when OSU had the strongest resume in the country?

Win over Big 12 Champ OU away
Win over top 10 Wisconsin away
Win over top 3 Michigan at home
Loss against top 5 PSU away week after Wisky game in a game OSU dominated

Look, that team dropped a deuce in the bowl game, but that team had a really impressive resume

This is the first year it's really obvious the committee is gaming certain teams rankings. Not everybody is playing under the same set of rules.

Traditional powers and teams with a shot at conference titles are being boosted.

Non-power 5 teams and teams with no conference title shot are being shafted.

You mean they went away from the specific rules and criteria? That was the year “best team” instead of “champions” was used. Hocutt was asked to change the rules and he did for Disney.

You would need them to seed like in every other NCAA sport. But the sheep are starting to wake up, you just hit snooze

PSU lost to Pitt that year. They didn't get away from Champions. Champions is a tie breaker and always has been. PSU got blown out by Michigan as well (by 39 points). If they beat Pitt they are in the playoffs.

Best team has always been the mandate. Conference titles are one of the factors

Allowing Disney to pick playoff teams instead of neutral criteria could be what really permanently damages the entire CFB brand.

Perhaps ESPN/Disney were given far too much power...

I can not wait to hear the excuse why Notre Dame will drop 2 spots if beaten by Clemson but Florida only dropped 1 this weekend.

What’s the best team? You can’t tell me which is why Long focused on championships and that’s how it was sold to the public

Revisionist history you’re spinning

Everyone is too high.
Ohio St shouldn't be ranked.
We should have ACC winner and 3 SEC teams.

That was sarcasm. Point being, this is a strange year and I’d bet the top 4 teams are the best four teams.
