Your tears have been flowing for 4 years and counting. How did you accomplish such an impressive feat?

Lol a picture before Cam was even in the NFL. Since getting to the league Cam > Drew with 1/2 the weapons.

You know you're going full retard when you're comparing Cam Newton to a first ballot hall of fame Quarterback.

Drew Brees is the ultimate stat compiler? You don't say! This news is breaking.

How did Drew's first 4 years in the league go?

Oh and your stats don't include 2,600 rushing yards and 33 TDs for Cam either.

Eat shite.

Cam is the only player worth a shite on that offense. Dude should be commended, not condemned.

ETA: Kelvin is pretty good, tho.

You can't reason with these people.

2/3 of the Saints fans on this board weren't fans prior to the Super Bowl win. Hence they're so awful in years like this when the Saints aren't relevant, they got in at the pinnacle of a perennially disappointing franchise.

Drew Brees First 4 years

I'm a Saints fan, but I don't get the need to shite on Cam all the time. The guy plays well for a team that has refused to give him top offensive weapons. Dude plays well, imo, and he's fun to watch.

Would you give Cam the same deal the Bears gave Cutler? 7/$126

True.

its just funny because some people on this board thought Carolina could win.

seriously.. its like half the people on this board don't actually watch football.

Are you an LSU fan?

Cam is still having trouble fitting elite athletic and physical tools into the QB role he's forced to play (by the nature of the league and by the nature of his team). He has a lot of unrealized upside that may or may not ever really get tapped. That said, he'd be a sought QB and makes decent use of what little he has around him.

The only QBs actually worth a deal like that are Rodgers, Brady, and Manning.

Considering what other QBs on Cam's level are getting then somebody is going to give him that kind of money though.

Who is "you"?

Cam has probably the same upside Cutler does with about 10x more marketing draw, so I'd think they're comparable. I say that understanding the doubts about Cutler's contract, but there isn't a plethora of good QB talent and there definitely aren't a lot of Cam Newton physical freaks out there.

Brees played in ONE game his rookie year, not even as a starter.

Also, Brees' 4th season destroys any season by Cam. Cam hasn't progressed as a player in this league.

You probably have a point about Cam's progression, but that's judging him on a different scale, considering he broke records as a rookie.

Cam might not ever meet our expectations, but those are some lofty expectations.
