Cam Newton to the Redskins?

Looking more and more like there might be a reunion with Ron Rivera in Washington. There were mixed reviews on Dwayne Haskins, but some coaches said he was so slow learning the playbook that they thought he had dyslexia (he doesn't). Knowing the Skins' recent history they'll probably get rid of Haskins and he'll become an All-Pro somewhere else.

How cheap would Newton sign? The Skins are already paying Smith 20+. Haskins is making mid 1st money. If Cam got 20ish, the team would be paying Qbs almost 50M. Thats just too much. They have too many needs everywhere and you can't get rid of Smith's contract..

Please no... He'd just be another in a long line of shitty QBs in Washington. Just keep Haskins and hope that we finally have a franchise QB.

People keep saying this but if I'm Ron Rivera, why would I want the QB that essentially was getting me fired until he got so unhealthy I did get fired?

I don't know that I've ever watched a quarterback as bad as Haskins was when he took over as starter last season.

Haskins got better throughout the season and was actually pretty decent by the end. Everybody knew he was raw and needed time. He should be a solid NFL QB, if he is in the right system and has some talent around him..
