I actually agree to an extent. I think pay needs to be in place in some form but this is the wild wild west. Between the portal and millions going to players, kids won’t care about the game anymore, just the payday and truthfully I don’t blame them.

I agree with you I would allow an exception i.e if a player is from say SC and signed with Missouri and South Carolina was in his final list, and he wanted to return home, I say he can but all other controls you mentioned applies e.g. sitting out a year.

Honestly, there just needs to be a 12-team minor league for football. Kids want to get paid…go there. If you want to be a professional mercenary out of high school, that’s fine.

Stabilize college rosters by reimposing the 1-year loss for transfers. Kill intraconference transfers altogether.

The product will still be great.

Everyone knew this was coming, but we didn't want to believe it!

College football will become like the NBA, players in control of the league.

Yep. The greatest thing about College Football WAS playing for pride to win your conference or mythical National Championship WITHOUT GETTING PAID and get a free college education. Looks like that's gone forever. Sad, cause it was really cool...

All of this is a bullshite solution to a problem that didn’t exist. How many athletes chose not to play big time CFB because “all” they got was a free education and a chance to showcase themselves for a pro career? Absolutely zero.

This isn’t why the NCAA opened it up. They opened it up because their lawyers and the Supreme Court told them they’d be at risk of getting sued into oblivion if they didnt.

This is why with NIL you have to kill the transfer rule...go back to out one year if you really wish to transfer...

Agree. The two together is a bad combo for CFB. NIL is here to stay. The courts and legislators have said so. NCAA can reinstate the old transfer rule.

totally agree. This NIL is a consequence of this spoiled self-centered culture today. Give me mine! No, they are amateur athletes. They can go get a PAID FOR education, and make money off their name & image when they graduate, like everyone else. They should not be getting paid. Downvote all you want.

“Back in my day!” Yea, No generation but this one cared about getting paid.

What’s does waiting till everyone graduate like everyone else mean? Anyone else in college including Someone on academic scholarship can make money off their NIL without limit while in school

You know the only people continuing to bitch about NIL are the people who are getting hurt by it. Learn to play the game and be better at it.

Actually, everyone but college athletes could earn a scholarship and make money on NIL. There is no reason to treat athletes differently.

It did, but won't be better for the athletes 10-20 years from now.
