As someone who went to about 50-60 Cal games between the 1970s and 2005, the student section is known for card stunts and has an old school throwback vibe. Unfortunately, the program is never going to be much more than middle-of-the-road year after year. Despite that, Memorial Stadium is a top venue for watching college football; even if the attendance is in the 40 to 50k range.
