The frick she doesn’t. If you were traded for the literal Merchant of Death who is responsible for tens of thousands of deaths, that is going to feed into almost anyone’s narcissism on how important they actually are, because the President has said that she’s more important than the Merchant of Death and also an American veteran that rotting in a Russian prison as we speak and this scum of an administration didn’t even bother asking for his release.

How does Clark being on the Olympic bench make them more money?

Clark getting 5-15 mpg in a tournament that is already pre-ordained for the USA to win does nothing for the WNBA.

And that would've been the next thing to bitch about if she had made the team.

She needs to go play for another country

Seriously. Apparently her mother is Italian, so go play for Italy.

It’s definitely not worse than that commie cocksucking traitor Eileen Gu who skied for the CCP at their Winter Olympics, which she should have her citizenship revoked and shipped back to Beijing where she belongs after doing that shite.

So let me get this straight... Gu is a traitor, but you will celebrate Clark if she plays for Italy because she wasn't handed a ceremonial spot on the US team??

I mean she has already talked about being worn out by the WNBA season starting so season after the college season ended, now you wanna add the Olympics to that? She's young and can use the break, she'll be on the Olympic roster the next 3 Olympics if she pans out

Considering the hype she is getting and tickets she is selling, it would make all the sense in the world though to put her on there now while the iron is hot in terms of her popularity and exposure/growth of the WNBA. A year from now, it may not be like this. When opportunity knocks...

She is the fastest player in NBA history to 200 points and 75 assists in 12 games.

In the Olympics?

Again, Clark coming off the bench in a tournament where US beats every team by 30+ won't all of the sudden bring more viewers to WNBA.

For some reason I thought I heard she retired, but I was wrong. Yeah, Biles more than Clark, but Clark is definitely #2 should she be in the Olympics.

No. Biles, then many swimmers and track and field athletes. Olympic basketball men and women's is barely televised.

I’d be more indifferent to Clark competing for Italy, but you don’t represent a genocidal regime that are our biggest enemies on world stage.

For the record, I wouldn’t have given a shite if Gu competed on behalf of Taiwan, but the CCP, frick that. No different than when Helene Mayer, a Jewish refugee, competed for Nazi Germany in the 1936 Berlin Olympics:

The irony in all of this is that she would've been invited to the final USA basketball training camp had Iowa not made the final four.

If she gets invited to that, she probably does make the final roster.

I thought the point was to win. You're supposed to put the proven best players on the court that will give you the best chance at Gold. This isn't a popularity contest.

then what is your argument against clark

7th in points
3rd in assists
7th in steals

That just proves that there are at least three or four better guards than her out there.

They have better options right now. It’s really not that deep.

Gym is always primetime, basketball hardly ever.

Definitely true, but if they do want more people to watch instead of nobody giving a shite at all about the women's Olympic basketball team, putting her on there is a no-brainer. She's just more exciting to watch since she'll launch 3s from damn-near mid-court.
