Caitlin Clark makes WNBA history as first rookie to record triple-double

Caitlin Clark was close last week — just a rebound shy of some more WNBA history — but Saturday, in the fourth quarter against the Liberty, she completed the first triple-double ever by a rookie.
After Kayla Thornton missed a shot, Clark collected her 10th rebound — to go with 11 assists and 16 points — and received a standing ovation from the crowd at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.

Clark and Reese are both doing things no rookie ever has in the WNBA. It's enough to occasionally grab my attention, which hasn't happened before. It's still not enough for me to watch more than part of a game most times.

Clark vs Bronny would be closer than most people think.

This is kind of sad that it took this long tbh. (Nothing against Clark)

Clark and Reese
This isn't Magic vs. Bird.
Reese is doing the same ol' WNBA shite that a thousand players have done before her.
She's famous for going after Clark. We need to stop this narrative. No one is tuning in to watch her get 5 tries on a layup.

It's not just rookie.
No one in that franchise's history has ever recorded a triple-double.

In just her rookie season, Reese literally holds the record for most consecutive double-doubles in one season, something a thousand-plus players & all-stars before her have never done in league history.
Her game obviously is not as entertaining to watch as a lethal logo 3-pt shooter is, but to suggest Reese is dime-a-dozen is remarkably narrow-minded & dismissive.

Not really the womens games are 48 instead of 60 min like the men’s.

Why? Games evolve as do rules that make changes to the way the game is played. Think about passing stats in the nfl like 20 years ago vs now.
