Now has coached 35 guys drafted in the first round of the NFL draft. His recruiting class led to a 13-0 season that won a National Title. And he made North Carolina of all teams relevant. I know there were reports of misconduct regarding player benefits but he as been cleared of any wrong doing. Why isnt this guy coaching somewhere? And another question, would you want him coaching your team?

Error on my part. I mean to talk about his recruiting class that won the 2001. But with all that being said, the guy is a great recruiter and fields a better product than most coaches can. Just cant understand why a team hasnt called upon him since he left NC.

ETA: 2 as d line. He coached as d coordinator under switzer when the cowboys lost to the 9ers in the nfc championship game.

I'm guessing because trouble always seems to follow. Kind of like people will think when you hear the name Bruce pearl.

I could be wrong but from what I read the violations at Miami were from Dennis Erickson not because of Butch. The only thing he was accused of was at NC where he was cleared by the NCAA. But I understand your point.
