$1.5 billion stadium

Never happen with an empty Alamo Dome 75 miles away, if it were ever going to happen.

When the Raiders were shopping cities, Austin was on the shortlist. They sent surveys out all both Austin and San Antonio gauging local fan & business support. It was said that a new stadium would have been built for that team in San Marcos/New Braunfels areas inbetween Austin & SA to attract fans from both cities.

Yeah, that sounds like it would be inconvenient for SA and Austin.

The Jays are owned by a Canadian telecommunication company and makes insane money for the TV station etc that they own

True. But Canada's handling of the WuFlu has changed pro sports North of the border. The NHL had to completely reshuffle their divisions, and Canada wouldn't allow players families to travel with the teams. The Jays cannot host in Tronna this season, and who knows what next year looks like.

The longer the Trudeau regime keeps Canada thoroughly closed, the more realistic some form of relocation becomes.
