Colt will be traded tonight.
The only thing I dont like is that we could have had him at 37. David Decastro would have come in and started from day 1 at a position of much higher need.
If they dont take a WR at 37 they are dumb as hell.

Tampa obviously needed a RB and could have very easily moved up an taken him.
Schefter said the Bucs had no plans on trading up to 3. The Browns got taken.

When in doubt, never select a Big 12 quarterback. Trading up one spot for a panic pick also seems pretty silly. Hell, even if Richardson gets taken at #3, take Kalil or Blackmon instead. You need EVERYTHING, why focus on the RB, which is the NFL fungible good?
I don't get it. I would give them the benefit of the doubt, but the Browns have never given me any reason to do so. I'm just happy they are in the Ravens' division.

The Cleveland Browns are literally the Baltimore Orioles of the NFL. They're so poorly run, it's unbelievable. At least they have a hands-off owner who's willing to let his football people do their job but that doesn't really mean much when he keeps picking the wrong people to run the team.

Holmgren and Heckart are doing fine. They have owned the last 2 drafts.

Minnesota came out smelling like roses. Trade down, gain three picks and still get the player you want in Kalil.

1. The Browns essentially have up a fourth round pick which has some solid value. Eventhough guys like Colston and Brady were drafted in the super late rounds. They are constantly just thrown in picks in trades.
2. The Weeden pick was from the Falcons stupid trade for Julio Jones. So they took him probably a little early to keep some other team from moving up to take the next best QB.
They will probably end up with Randle or Hill. They will have accomplished exactly what they needed which were skill players on offense.

First they give up a 4th, 6th & 7th Round Draft Picks to move up one spot & pick a player that was going to be there at their next pick anyway (Minnesota bluffed them something fierce). And, even though Richardson is a Great RB, he's still just a RB & it's just plain unnecessary to use a #3 pick on any RB in today's NFL.
They were not worried about Minnesota drafting Richardson!

Weeden sucks. He's ugly and old and dumb. Good luck with him as the "face" of your franchise. Boring as hell.

Even if they do - big deal. You'd be "forced" to take the best LT in the draft to anchor your OL for the next decade. Wow thats a terrible option.

Excellent analysis. Do you have a blog I could subscribe too?

I won't mind seeing all of the little kids in Austin have to shelve their Browns #12 jerseys next to the Titans #9 jerseys they shelved just last year.

Cleveland Browns general manager Tom Heckert said that he would consider trading quarterback Colt McCoy, according to the Cleveland Plain Dealer.
“It’s something we’ll talk about tonight and tomorrow,” Heckert said when asked if he would try and move the third year quarterback.“
We got a new quarterback that’s going to be with us,” head coach Pat Shurmur said. “Tonight is about Brandon Weeden, not about the competition.”
its been fun Colt

I don't think getting Weeden was all that bad a move b/c I think Colt doesn't have the arm for the NFL.
however, to go from saying their are getting a WR to help their current young QB to instead drafting his replacement b/c the WR they wanted was gone makes it seem like they don't have much of a long term plan in place.

Hill and Randle still on the board bro. They get one of them, they drafted the skill players they desperately needed on offense
