On average , 1. Jesuit 2. Brother Martin 3. Rummel. But I know smart and dumb ones at each school

In academics: Brother Martin > Rummel > Grace King
Everybody thinks their school is better than competing schools. All I know is that all my friends and I that graduated Rummel had full-scholarships to multiple state schools in the region, including LSU (even Univ of Texas and Texas A&M for some of us, schools like Ole Miss and Miss State for others... a lot of us went to LSU, such as myself).
In academics the only Catholic school greater than Rummel is Jesuit, IMO. I figure Brother Martin is up there with Rummel, but I haven't seen any evidence of that (I've just always figured that the big three Catholic schools were Jesuit, Rummel, and Brother Martin).

I must have missed Brother Martin's dynasty.

no dynasty.. and I ain't a sader...
but they have been to the big game 3 more times than rummel and have one more state title...
so...... pipe down rufus...
Rummel dominated the catholic league at what was probably the lowest point in it's history.

You sound like Urban Meyer... boo hoo, Tiger Stadium wasn't so loud when I was on the coaching staff of a Colorado State team that beat them in Death Valley in 1992.
Brother Martin has only been to the big game two times... and that was decades ago... and that was in 4A. They've never made it to the big game in 5A.
And as for this "down period" for the Catholic League... what, you mean the whole last 36 years... the whole last generation?
Since 1973, Brother Martin and Jesuit haven't been able to hang with Rummel and Shaw in football:
Catholic League Championships since 1973
Archbishop Shaw(14) - 1976, 1977, 1979, 1983, 1985, 1986, 1988, 1989, 1990, 1991, 1994, 1996, 1997, 1998
Archbishop Rummel(12) - 1973, 1974, 1980, 1985, 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007
Brother Martin(6) - 1977, 1983, 1985, 1992, 2007, 2008
Jesuit(5) - 1981, 1984, 1997, 2004, 2007
Holy Cross(3) - 1983, 1995, 2002
De La Salle(0) - none
And if you just look at it since 1990, it looks like this:
Archbishop Rummel(8) - 1999, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2003, 2005, 2006, 2007
Archbishop Shaw(6) - 1990, 1991, 1994, 1996, 1997, 1998
Brother Martin(3) - 1992, 2007, 2008
Jesuit(3) - 1997, 2004, 2007
Holy Cross(2) - 1995, 2002
De La Salle(0) - none

You can't really be serious, can you? I know multiple people from BM that "left" because they failed a drug test..only to get accepted at Rummel.
And Rummel also gives athletic scholarships. BM doesn't. Of course it doesn't seem to be helping Rummel win state titles

I hope you're talking about football. If not, look at the 90's for wrestling and the 00's for basketball.

You only need a 2.5 to receive TOPS. I got into LSU with a 23, and with TOPS, but you have to be pretty dumb not to qualify for TOPS.

What was that, back in the 60's? I was just in a conversation the other day at a dinner party with some fellow New Orleans Catholic High School grads (male and female), and we were sharing stories about how strict it was at school... and the Brother Martin grad was shocked at how strict it was at all the other schools besides Brother Martin. Now don't get me wrong, I know older people that were there back when Brother Martin himself was there... and he hated how strict it was so much that he dropped out... but his stories about how it was back when Brother Martin himself was there was how Rummel was when I was there.

I don't think he was there when BM started their run. Maybe he was a senior when DJ was in 8th grade, thus not allowed to play for varsity.

I doubt it. Any Rummel people here in 2004 that know of any tolerance of drug-use at all by Rummel? I doubt it. It's zero tolerance at every Catholic school... especially an Archdiocese of New Orleans school named after the great Archbishop Rummel himself.

You're right. I'm lying.
