You didn't. You said Rummel will always be overrated in football. I asked you to explain. How hard is that?

When was the last time Rummel won a state championship?

Never. Doesn't mean they are overrated though.

Sure it does. Rummel prides itself on its football team, more so than any other team in the NO area. Even with the almighty Jay Roth at the helm, and you don't produce championships, to me that is overrated.

I figure Rummel prides themselves on their football team just as much as Brother Martin, Jesuit, and Shaw. Brother Martin is 5-0 right now just like Rummel, and Brother Martin beat Rummel the last two years. Do you really consider Rummel the powerhouse of New Orleans? Most would say that would be John Curtis and Destrehan.

Curtis is not 5A.
Deshrehan is not New Orleans.

All Rummel has is football (and they're not very good considering the talent they've had over the years). BM and Jesuit have other sports that win titles- wrestling, cross country, BM for basketball etc.

I was just thinking about how Destrehan High is located 18 miles from the Dome. But yeah, I think their District is made up of teams even further away from New Orleans.

As for Rummel, I always thought of them as a baseball school. Their baseball team has 5 State Championships. Rummel's American Legion baseball team has 8 State Championships, and one National Championship (2006).

I have been to one game since I graduated and that was because we were in the playoffs.

I do know that Rummel won zero state championships during my five years in high school but I have no idea if they have since. Always had good football teams.

Considering Rummel hasn't won any baseball championships since 1997. Brother Martin basketball >>>> Rummel baseball.
