re: Bronny James proves the NBA is a complete joke and I'm so happy I quit watching years ago!

Oh my goodness a second-round pick, the horror of it all. Meanwhile, the Knicks just gave the Nets 5 first-round picks, a second, and Bogdanovich for Mikal Bridges. A player who is yet to make an all-star game.
Draft picks are fun money and in the NBA a second-rounder means little in the big scheme of it all.

As a result, those college basketball players that truly have the talent to play in the NBA, won't be given that opportunity to fulfill those dreams because of Daddy James!
Why would the Lakers drafting Bronny prevent the other 29 teams from signing a player if they were good enough to play in the NBA?
Most 2nd rounders will never make it in the NBA so if someone undrafted is good enough for the NBA they should still be able to earn a spot.

Having his dad run to his defense is just making it all look worse and worse. Didn’t Bronny just get an “injury” too? So he’s probably shut down from summer league and more criticism.

When you have to repeat that he does not care 4 times then you know he cares. Add in hes a James and we know he cares very much
So glad LeBron destroyed the Lakers and will get a statute for it from them

The one's that say they don't care the loudest are the ones that actually care the most I found. Now in this case Lebron is saying this, so...

nobody had a problem with Thanasis on the Bucks huh?

He was drafted by the Knicks

When the Knicks had a pipe dream of signing Giannis in free agency. Dude should have been out of the league years ago but Bucks have him on the roster to keep Giannis happy.

He was drafted in 2014, Giannis was 1 year into his career and wasn’t even a starter yet.

The issue is not the naked nepotism but the gaslighting that Bronny is a legit NBA prospect.
If Bronny was named Brian Jones with the same measurables and stats in college he would never have been given a second look much less a 4 year guaranteed contract.
Noone gives a frick about the clown car LOLakers franchise but stop lying to us that Bronny is a legit NBA player.
ETA: Lolz at the "defensive specialist" and at LeGM constantly running defense for him in the media.

Ah I see that he was a draft and stash guy. But he's been taking up a roster spot on the Bucks and been the worst player in the nba since 2020
Posted on 7/9/24 at 12:32 pm to RogerTempleton
But another team thought enough of him to draft him and his brother was still an unknown when it happened. He also isn't crippling the Bucks in terms of personnel options. The two situations are very different.

Outside the organization; who has to say it - and maybe a couple media folks trying to curry favor… I dont think we are seeing many truly trying to sell us that this is business as usual. That hes getting so much airtime is testament to it being unusual
Are you mad that lebron isn’t saying his son is mediocre?

What pisses me off is LeBron using his leverage to help one of the most privileged kids in America. If he muscled up on the Lakers to draft a kid who came from nothing, but could actually play, I'd give him a golf clap for helping someone maybe get his family out of the hood.

True. His dad is actually a talented basketball player.

How am someone at this level just he this naive lol
Them again, he did fake some racist actions against him and has been coddled his entire life.

This is all about Lebron’s ego and self indulgence. He could’ve still had his kid on the team and left the Lakers with the ability to upgrade the roster but he chose not to just because he could get away with it. He’s not a team killer he’s anti team.

I'm not "mad" about this situation and clearly stated my thoughts on this whole discourse.
LeGM can and should stan for his son and use his leverage and connections to get Bronny into the league if he wants.
LeGM needs to be honest with himself, take off the Dad glasses and realize his son is not ready for the NBA. Bronny is only being given a spot because of his father, period.
You can twist and contort yourself into a pretzel with rationalizations but that is the plain truth.

LeBron said his son took the hard route by pursuing basketball....
And that he just plays basketball, doesn't care and then goes home and just plays video games.
Some hard route....for a son that doesn't have to work a day in his life and didn't make the League on merit.
Maybe a harder route would be going to Med School?
But LeBron doesn't control John Hopkins University.... So I guess that was out of the question.
