The saddest part of this whole thing is you actually think he was picked solely on merit lol
Or actually what may be more sad is that you think using stats after being drafted is the great barometer to disprove that he was picked because of who his dad was. I’d expect that from some really dumb posters on here. I’m surprised you’re doing it lol

There are thousands of people that can match those measurements, including 20 year old me. And no I would never compare my athleticism to Westbrook or Rose. That’s the fricking point.
Rose and Bronny have identical measurements and stats from the combine, yet you’ll never see Bronny dunk the way Rose did. Same reason you don’t see 6’3” McClung dunking all over the place in the nba, yet guys like Rose and Morant have tons of highlight in game dunks.
What you’re talking about when you say athleticism is just measuring raw measurements. I’m talking about in game athleticism, and there’s a big difference.

Yeh dude, totally clueless to define athleticism as running fast, being strong, jumping far, and being overall physically gifted

Daily you become more of a caricature than the day before. I’m not sure how long this can keep going but you’re still doing it lol

I just want to fill you in now on what you are arguing
He said Bronny James was not an elite athlete and just “average”
I then pointed out Bronny finished towards the top of the combine for the physical drills and he is faster and can jump higher than athletic freaks like rose and Westbrook, and he said “well yeh Bronny is really physically fast and strong and such but that doesn’t make him athletic”
And you are agreeing…..

You just gotta realize we are always gonna have to deal with people like this.
Its the same reason the college football playoffs/bcs always ended up being screwed up.
Some people will ignore all the unbiased metrics and put all their faith in the "eyeball test" instead. Despite it being proven over and over again that human memory is imperfect.

I doubt Usain Bolt or Michael Phelps would hit a lot of threes in nba games so I guess you dont think they are athletic either.

Thats one way to deflect from Bronny sucking

Excellent point bringing up Bolt. I’d bet he has better measurements than all of them.
Does that make him an elite athletic BASKETBALL player?
At no point have I said Bronny isn’t athletic.
There’s a big difference between having a 40” vertical, and being able to use that during a basketball game.
You can’t quite comprehend that what’s being argued is the definition of athleticism. You’re trying to say it’s a simple measurement of vertical leap and speed measured at the combine. I’m arguing it’s how you use your speed and leaping ability during a game.
Again, there are thousands of people who are fast and can jump high, but very few can play a basketball game and use those measurables to make them an elite basketball player.

Usain Bolt is an elite athlete no matter where you put him.
He'd be an elite athlete on a basketball court or in a pool or on a golf course.
Athleticism is athleticism.
Being a great athlete doesnt make you a great quarterback but it certainly helps.

No, you are just confusing yourself with the difference between athleticism and skill…..
You can’t change how athleticism is defined
Mike Vick had elite athleticism, but he was just an above average QB
Tom Brady had ok athleticism, but he was an elite QB
You are trying to tell us Mike Vick wasn’t an elite athlete

^yeah, imagine it.
Imagine spending a whole day arguing athleticism then changing to skills like shooting when you realize you are wrong.
