Alright, the day has come. Anyone else taken a look at the Friday card? I watched the TVG special last night and they didn't agree with many of my picks, which may be a good thing.

I just started looking race by race.

Am I crazy for liking sweet Shirley Mae in the juv sprint? I think she's my pick.

As for the marathon, I've bet atigun quite a bit this year, so I feel bad if I leave him out. Worth repeating is out, but they haven't said why. Maybe I'll try to hit a bomb in here with juniper pass or the south American filly. Wish I could've seen the horse training without a saddle.

I think South Floyd is going to blow out and set a blistering pace. Merit Man and Super Ninety Nine right off of him. Those two are probably the best in the race, but I may try to hit on the late running claimer, Hazordous.

I'm playing the gelded angle. Commander was gelded and has since rattled off 6 in a row. At least he likes to win.

I don't know what to do in filly turf. I like spring venture.

I'll probably just bet her or skip the race all together.

I printed out Saturday so I'd have something to do on the plane.

I'm going to have to watch the first couple before deciding on that. I think the public is going to be all over Spring Venture. I may get a better price on Sky Lantern which is probably a better horse. Also, I expect a morning report on Gantry tomorrow. I want to know if he's live. That will save me some time from handicapping that race.

Will do

That last work still has me in tears, but he had a few good unpublished works between races. They say he likes the track. Thank god for no rain. He's a little wuss about mud. Wish fast bullet was to our inside, not outside.

ESPN's Streak for the Cash has a prop bet I am thinking of laying down my 4 game streak on...

Which horse will win the race?
(A) Merit Man or Super Ninety Nine
(B) Any other horse

I am leaning (A) for no other reason than they are the favorites. What is the opinion here?

They are the best two horses IMO. There are scenarios where I think they can get beat, but under normal circumstances A would be the correct choice.

Please explain. Weather, jitters? And please excuse my ignorance in horse racing.

Not leaving the gate, getting bumped, jock drops a rein (lol chantel) or stick, get hurt, horse go down in front or next to them, equipment failure, or just plain not cooperating. They are animals after all.

What would you go with if presented the option above?

Best option is a...

But I'd go with b. I'm a rebel like that

Plus, I like the filly to the outside a bit.

Yeah, typically in these "too good to be true" scenarios the majority of pickers go with the heavy favorite. As of right now only 67% are picking (A) which worries me.

I'll probably just wps her. Bet I'll get much better than her 4-1 ml

Here is another example. Fast forward to the 1:29 and watch these horses come home. There is all kinds of stuff going on. Horse on the inside ducks out and cleans house. Also Julien(6) obviously has had something happen with his saddle, because he never looks like that on a horse. I was watching this for a race tomorrow
