the thing about the mile is that the race is ran 100000% differently than it's ran in europe. the pace is faster and the horses from europe, in gerneral, aren't used to running that fast to keep up so it zaps the late kick they usually have.

that's why you see a lot of milers who are good over there not win here. it takes a very tacital horse with a very high cruising speed to comne here and win our mile. we aren't better it's just a different type of race

i guess you missed the part of the thread where i said they have to hve tactical speed/high cruising speed. Goldy had that. she's the exception ont the rule. she's about as push button as a horse can possibly be.

dont' argue wtih me boy lol

Leave it to Hernandez to win this glorified claiming race. This Classic was a disgrace to previous winners. Obviously the best horses retire before this race.

the sad thing is, in may this was looking like one of the best of all time. frankel was toyign with the idea of coming, bodemeister, aninmal kindom, i'll have another, royal delta.. that would have been a kick arse race. this is pathetic.

frankel would have pulled upa nd won this race by 10

Yep, my favorite horse of all time is Ghostzapper and the fact this nag gets in the same breath is laughable. The lack of Lasix next year is going to make it worse. When you have Bramlege blasting the ban, you have problems. Next year I think I'll bet the River Downs card instead of the BC. I know it's not the day to bet, but I get so frustrated. I know how to handicap and you might as well take a shite on the PP's. It's becoming a joke. BTW, since you are in led, I'd love to go to OTB and have a few beers and win some money if you'd like.

welp i have a new best friend rotfl. i LOVE ghostzzpper. i think he's the best horse to hit the dirt, at least his 4YO year, since slew. if he was healthy you litarlly could not beat him. you couldn't out run him you couldn't box him in, wet, dirt, fast, long, short didn't matter. he was gonna beat you and he was gonna do it pretty easily more times than not.

the problem really is the track. no noe will come out and say it but the trainers don' like the track. santa anita never gets a good breeders cup. i have fun when i go out there but the churchill breeders cups are always much better.

And had he been able to get out sooner... Who knows.

I love ak. That exacta was my biggest hit. I tossed shanghai bobby and went all longshots in an exacta. 3,7,8.

Damned if they didn't run 2nd, 3rd, 4th.

That could've paid nice
