I have addicts and alcoholics in my family. He isn't going to get any sympathy here. Addiction is a choice. Cancer is a disease.

Addicts make a choice to use every time they do. No one forces them to. Josh Gordon clearly cares more about whatever he is using than his career.

Saying Addiction is a choice is being simple minded. Yes and no. It's a choice to start using, but once you get addicted it's not a choice anymore. You cant just turn it off. Everyone is different.
He's not getting sympathy from me either. But the guy has problems that need to get sorted out. The NFL is done with him.
