re: Brandon Jacobs Now a 49er

Two ways of looking at it

1) Frank Gore is old. He's probably only good for 10 good games a season. Jacobs is good for maybe 3 or 4. That leaves two for Alex Smith to win. He can do that, right?

2) Brandon Jacobs is a loud mouth, who is lucky enough to possess bizarre speed for someone his size and weight, but outside of the goal line carries and such, his main job will be to run his mouth in the media once or twice a week to make up for Jim Harbaugh's utterly monosyllabic approach to the media.

I thought Dixon would be a Draft day steal, but unfortunately his highlights thus far include a whole lot of running into his O-linemen's backs and lunging forward for a yard. He just hasn't progressed. Glen Coffee going nuts was a shame because he would have been a quality backup.
