This version of the Rockets was playing incredible basketball in the middle of this series before Paul got hurt. I think the level they were playing at in games 4-7, especially on defense, would have beaten anyone else in the playoffs this year. IMO, they were beatable early in the playoffs when they weren’t playing very well. A different draw than Minny could have gotten interesting.

Losing Iggy cracked the door open slightly. Funny how we consider GSW deep until they need those guys and they can’t even be serviceable around 4 All Stars. Whatever fifth man was on the floor was murdering them. I tip my hat to Houston though. GSW played poorly BECAUSE of Houston. That defense was magnificent and it took the individual talents of Curry and Durant to do Curry and Durant things in game 7 to close out the series.

I am big picture and this was a great season. you Pels fans would still be crying about officiating today I seent it myself. that was a great great basketball series. I rather watch my sqaud lose like that in 7 over a ho him 5 gamer snooze fest victory. But I have always been more a fan of competition at the highest level than of any one specific team.

Boom you do this to yourself every offseason.

You play Skip Bayless masterfully though, I'll give you that. HardLn is your Sean Lee.

i mean, there is no real winner in either. Not sure what you are trying to imply. Lose in 4, lose in 4, lose in 7.. there is one common denominator... LOSE.

Iggy is past his prime but is a starter/key reserve for a championship team and former finals MVP, and him being the fifth best player on the Warriors is what makes them GOAT. to compare him to luc mbah a freakin moute is about as casual as it gets.

His numbers are down almost across the board and are about the same as when he was hurt in 2016. And we've linked several times to Steve Kerr and Warriors saying he won't be fully healthy until offseason.

Further evidence would be this series itself. 36% from 3 ain't healthy steph. That's injured steph.

Even when my sqaud loses its hard to hand me an L isnt it. was a great season. when you love the league more than any one team you can take a loss and keep your head held high. And not have to blame somebody. Sometimes the other guys are just better.
