But he is. He is a better baseball player than anyone alive with the exception of maybe his godfather, Willie Mays. I think everyone on this website would join me in writing, I AM TIRED OF DUKKE V THINKING he is better than ANYONE.

We are talking about hitting. Power #s are part of hitting.
So Adam Dunn and his 40 bombs is as good of a hitter as Ty Cobb and his 360 average, got it.
Carlos Pena approves of this message.

In total, Page 2 estimates that 66 Bonds home runs would have landed inside the fence sans his alleged steroids use. Again, this is an approximation. But is our guess wholly unreasonable?
And to add to that, Page 2 was only counting the extra distance. But increasing the bat speed also allows him a very small (but in a game like baseball, significant) amount of extra time to decide whether to swing. Better pitch selection also helps.
Wish I knew where to find it but someone else adjusted Barroid's career total to 600 based on that, plus a few other factors.

So why do the writers discount shorter fences, smaller yard, tighter wound balls, smaller zones, and other factors? Oh wait nevermind Bonds obstructed justice so he is out of hof because I'm Bob Ryan and I'm the ultimate authority on all.

On the other hand, I would like to see how many career home runs all the top guys would have had if they all played in the same ballpark. Bonds and Mays suffered due to the fact that played mostly in San Francisco with low elevation and potentially damning winds and dimensions. Otherwise, Hank Aaron played in much more hitter friendly ballpark. That would be more interesting, in my opinion.

It has been quite a while since someone looked as silly as H-Town Tiger has been made to look in this thread.
You just have to think, why would Barry take the cream and clear if there were no benefits, if it didn't help his performance? Surely it wasn't just to help him fill out his uniform. Sure, Barry was already talented. Alot of people couldn't do what he did even with cream and clear and no, it can't help make you hit a baseball. But, there has to be some benefits to it.

You are like an angry woman in an argument......jumping to an extreme in a desperate attempt to salvage a failed point.
Go read the articles about Bonds today. Read Stark's editorial on ESPN. Bonds is constantly referred to as the "HR King." His power #s are his legacy. This is where the steroids had a major impact. Everyone can recognize this but you. Facts seem to be meaningless to you. I just don't know where you want the conversation to go at this point.

And we know extenze will help you grow a bigger dick because the commercials say so.
You know abouts guys that took stuff and did well. What about the guys that took and didn't? It they are this magic elixir then everyone that took should improve and that's not the case.

Why did you post that again?

Your boy Bonds took products that enhanced his performance. He had an edge over folk who didn't use those products.

I never disputed Bonds.
The guy was an elite hitter with good power his whole career, he was perfect for steroids.
All I was arguing is it doesnt turn a below average hitter into a good one.
It's just my opinion and perspective, you look at it differently and I get that.

You are way wrong on this argument. I saw a couple of .250, less than 5 home run, college baseball hitters go home for the summer, come back two months later 25 lbs heavier from admittedly using steroids. Both had All-Conference years hitting over .350 with 12+ home runs.
As has been already stated, if steroids doesn't help you hit a baseball, then why were 70% of MLB players juicing in the late 1990s-early 2000s? Why did Big Papi go from a great hitter to a poor hitter once he stopped juicing? Why did Manny Ramirez have such sub-standard seasons once he got popped for steroid use?

It most certainly does. Just because you hear an idiotic statement repeated a bunch of times doesn't make it true.
Your defense of this makes your statement idiotic. Was he not able to hit a baseball before the allegations? Have you seen someone who could not hit a baseball indulge in steroids then hit a baseball? Geez!
