Bob Stoops, one of the three coaching giants of Oklahoma’s century-long football excellence, plans to tell his team Wednesday that he will retire after 18 seasons as the Sooner head coach.

An OU source said offensive coordinator Lincoln Riley will take over as head coach.

He had a lasting impression on me when he was pouting about LSU's defense at his halftime interview during the '03 championship game...

Why is he retiring in June? Couldn't he have made up his mind back in January?

Hiring an OC with no head coach experience?

I've always thought their next hire after Stoops would be very important for the program. If they don't get it right then they could very well turn into Nebraska IMO
