2.) Go Louisiana State University at Baton Rouge A&M!

First, that's not our name. Louisiana State University and Agricultural & Mechanical College is the proper name.

Secondly, I get tickled when ULL fans call us "LSU A&M BR" for a few reasons. I don't get upset when "A&M" is added because it is actually part of the University's name and I'm proud LSU has that history. I also chuckle because the "@ BR" part is not part of the name like the "@ Lafayette" part is of theirs (at least according to the State government and everyone in the state/nation except Laffy).

I think it's just easier to say ULL fans have some comprehension problems considering they insist on calling both Universities by the incorrect names...such is the way of little brother across the basin, I suppose.

The reason UL claims to call itself UL is the same reason LSU is LSU and not Louisiana State University at Baton Rouge A&M.

Apples and oranges.

LSU fans not using their full, formal name is not an effort to make the school seem more important. It's plenty important enough nationally, and LSU is simply an easy acronym that's been commonly used, in and out of Louisiana, for decades.

Conversely, ULL fans clearly leave off "Lafayette" precisely to seem more nationally important and less regional. They seem far more concerned with what they're called, rather than focusing on real athletic accomplishments. They don't seem to realize that all the world calling them "UL" will not make them any better athletically.

Lol pretty much all ULL fans are just mad because they/son or daughter couldn't get into LSU

Really???

LSU requires a minimum of 22 on ACT. ULL requires a minimum of 23.

Try another argument.

The University of Louisiana is the system which the University of Louisiana at Lafayette operates under

Not exactly the whole story.

LSU: 3.0 GPA and at least a 22 composite.

ULL: Math ACT 19 or English ACT 18 and either

1)GPA 2.5 or higher OR

2)ACT Composite of at least 23 with at least 2.0 GPA OR

3)rank in the top 25% of the high school grad class and at least a 2.0 GPA

If I'm a 2.0 GPA student who made a 23 on the ACT I'm going to ULL because LSU won't sniff anyone with a sub 3.0 GPA as an incoming freshman (unless you are on fb scholly lol). Not sure about transfer requirements.

Not sure how the above poster inferred that to mean LSU's admission requirements are easier than ULL's.

never said LSU would take them,

but if you score a 23 and have a 2.0, you are fricking lazy and probably not going to hack it at any college.

I don't care how irrelevant LSU was, really? Buying another schools gear in spite of a school you're envious of? Sounds like Arkansas fans saying "21-0"

Personally, I've never understood the philosophy of pulling for whoever is playing X team. I'd prefer to just pull for my team.

What you have to ask yourself is what person in Bama would ever wear an LSU shirt to piss off Bama fans. NOBODY that's who, which is what makes his little display all the more cringeworthy.

My "pulling for another team" usually consist of wanting X team to lose to benefit my team. After that, the deed is done.

I think it's worse than that...at least Arkansas has had some success against LSU. If you average the scores of all the LSU-ULL football games you get:

LSU 44.91 ULL 1.14.

That's a 6.5 touchdown margin of victory for LSU over ULL.

How I personally feel about ULL:

ETA: Notes: They didn't take a second half time-out cause they basically conceded to us.

We drove it down their arse to the 17, and knelt on it, if we really wanted to rail them, we could have scored at will again.

Threads like these deserve the 'I don't want to live on this planet' meme. The OP is going to fight a guy because he wore a Bama shirt? lol

Message Posted by The Ramp Old news....that's why I unconditionally hate ULL. I lived there a full year before I got the hell out. Worse than Oxford.

Oxford is a nice place. Have you looked at the area surrounding LSU?
Some of you people need to look in the mirror. Just because some loser jumps on the LSU bandwagon, that does not make him a winner.
Any of you tools who attend another university and don't support that school over LSU are missing something.
Anybody can latch onto a winner. It doesn't make you special.

probably not too well this year, they were up and we were down.

We'll still rebuilding, but if we were to play consistently (which ULL would never allow), we would win more times than not, which is why ULL won't play us, it doesn't pay for us to push their shite in.

ULL is trying to compete to be middle tier when they can't even take care of business consistently against low tier oppenents.
