one thing the poster above reminded me about, I'm glad David Stern is almost gone.

David Stern looks like god as a commissioner compared to Gooddell, Selig, and whoever the clown is that runs the NHL

In a news release the NBA said Andersen "knocked ... Hansbrough to the floor, escalated the altercation by shoving Hansbrough, and resisted efforts to bring the altercation to an end."
People that think Andersen shouldn't be suspended are ignoring the worst thing he did. The ref tried to calm Birdman down and he pushed his arms away. Putting your hands on a ref is a big no no.

So was there ever an explanation as to why DWade didn't get suspended?

I agree with this. Had he simply walked away after, he wouldn't have been suspended (which I don't think he should have had that been the case).
Everyone moans and bitches about how soft the NBA is and how players nowadays aren't as physical as back in the day, but then are calling Birdman out for what he did. Pick one.
That and Chicago and Indiana getting physical with Miami is the best thing anyone has ever seen. Then when a member of the Heat did what he did, he's a thug POS.
Double standards always make me laugh.

Spot on! I'm glad Andersen punked Hansbrough. He is a dirty player, but because they are playing the Heat, it is considered "smart".

I'm all for physical play but Andersen lost his mind and was looking for a fight, no place for that. And he didn't even go after the guy that hit him, it was a bitch move all around.
