I still dont understand what Hansbrough did to deserve being given a technical. Birdman throws him to the floor, and Hansbrough is like wtf dude, and then he gets shoved.

Glad Birdman is suspended though. TPOS
Nothing, but that happens all the time. Referees hand out technicals to prevent future events just as often as punishment for what has occurred. The double tech is stupid, but the NBA feels it's a fair resolution to keep things from escalating.

Did Birdman even play the second half?
A little over 5 minutes in the 4th. None of the 3rd where all the damage occurred. LINK

So they don't eject him and give a flagrant 1, yet suspend him for the next game.

Awesome.

Refs got this one wrong last night. Had they ejected him, I doubt he'd be suspended for game 6. Glad the league took action on this though.

no he would not be. which is why I chuckled when someone earlier in the thread said he should've been ejected but they don't agree with the suspension.

it's because he wasn't ejected that the suspension is occurring.

This is bullshite. He shoulda been kicked out. He shouldn't be punished because of bad refs last game who didn't kick him out. This suspension is just the league trying to get a game 7. Lebron goes for 57 in a victory tomorrow. Suck it bandwagoners and bandwagon drivers.

What is worse - playing 2/3 of a game with a flagrant 1 hanging over your head and then being suspended for the next game as well, or just being ejected and done with it?

He was under punished with the flagrant 1 and over punished with the suspension.
