I even stopped or paused to think about it to make sure I had the right one.

OH, or what if Eric Dickerson had accepted the Camaro (or Firebird?) from A&M and had gone there instead? Would A&M be screwed?

ETA: Nope, it was a Trans-Am.

To put that in perspective and show just how dominant Tiger has been, Tiger has finished in the top five 29 out of 55 times (52.7%) of his major starts as a pro.

And won 14 of 55 for a (25.4%) Insane.

ETA: from the time he won his first, to the time he won his last Jack played in 100 majors and finished 1st 18 times (18% win) and top 2 (37%) Jesus Christ.

What if steroids were widely accepted ever since they were invented?

what if Nick Anderson could hit a free throw when it mattered?

Yup.

I wonder what % Nicklaus finished in the top 2 compared to Tiger. Would be interesting to see.

What if Bear Bryant had stayed at A&M instead of moving on to Alabama?

No he would have been THE GOAT. He's still up there imo even after all the injuries. Ken Griffey Jr. in his prime is the greatest baseball player I have ever watched. Gold Gloves and Silver Sluggers every year, would have won multiple MVPs, and would have demolished the HR record w/o the use of steroids. A-Rod/Pujols would have never met the bar he would have set...800+ HRs easily AND would have had 3000+ hits. Dude was insanely good

Prime for prime A-Rod > Griffey

Tiger: 20 of 55 (36%)

ETA: Very close, but obviously jack did it for another 45 majors. Time will tell.

Probably offensively, but when you throw in Griffey's 10 straight Gold Gloves, I think you have to give the nod to Griffey.

What if the New Orleans Jazz had never traded their number 1 pick and had taken Magic Johnson?

What if Indiana State had beaten Michigan State in the 1979 title game?

What if Bucky Dent hits a fly out in the one-game playoff instead of a home-run?

What if the WFL had stuck around long enough to force a merger of at least a few teams with the NFL?

What if the USFL had been awarded 100 million dollars in damages trebled to 300 million?

I think a healthy Griffey would have been the best player in the last 25 years.

What if Bobby Jones didn't quit golf to become a lawyer when he was 27.

Pretty cool stuff.

It's a toss up IMO as to whether Tiger gets to 18.

Honestly I think if he can get 15 in the next year or so, he'll have a chance, if not, time will be his biggest enemy.

Yea.

He's definitely past his prime, but in the golfer's world, still young enough to win multiple Majors.

He's just never shown consistent ability to play at the top level, at least not sustained.

I said it's a toss up because it's not at all a given that he will return to form, and if he doesn't, he may win but 1 or 2 majors.

If he does, he can reel off 5 or 6, I'd imagine.

So I think I'd set the over/under pretty much right at 4, which is obviously how many he is behind.

Not sure what this means. Bonds was going to be great no matter what.
