I'm no Brady fan, but when he did his Visa commercial he insisted his O-line be included to get them extra $

Gotta prop him for that

Then you didn't watch basketball through the 90s, cause if you did, you'd certainly remember the MJ hate.

Maybe it's that message boards/internet wasn't a big thing but MJ was certainly hated on a lot.

I don't know how people can say people like Lebron and Kobe over people like Big Ben, Cutler, Rivers, etc.

Because there hatred for guys like Kobe and mostly Lebron on this board is simply blind hatred.

That can't view or discuss anything in an unbiased, objective, non-hating manner. They just can't.

I agree. That 30 for 30 on him was great b/c it reminded me of why I hated him so much when he was playing, but he's been a good ambassador of the game since then.

I don't get why there is so much hate for some of the real good guys in sports. I see quite a few Tom Brady and Tony Romo mentions. These are two of the nicest guys in sports. Every first-hand account I've ever heard about either of them has been that they are total class acts. For the record I'm indifferent to the Patriots and despise the Cowboys.

Also a lot of Tim Tebow hate. I think that hate is misdirected. We hate the coverage Tebow gets, none of which is his fault. He's just an overrated, possibly dim-witted guy who was a great college player and seems like a decent person.

And I honestly don't see why Lebron gets so much hate. The guy has carried himself fantastically since he came into the league at a young age surrounded by a ridiculous amount of hype. When he acts like he knows he's the best player on the planet--which he is--he gets criticized for being arrogant. When he does things like show respect to older veterans and include his teammates in his awards, people say he lacks that "killer instinct" that Jordan and Bryant--both renowned assholes who were despised by their teammates--had. The guy just gets hated on no matter what he does. But he always carries himself w/ dignity and his teammates respond to him positively.

Good answers in this thread include: Ben Rapelisberger, Kobe Bryant, Brett Favre, Kevin Garnett, Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson, Rajon Rondo
