Bama’s unis are generally considered to be the most iconic of all time, or at least top 5. There is simply nothing more terrifying to opponents than to see the crimson and white coming out of the tunnel. To me they are the ultimate blend of class, respect for tradition, and general awesomeness. Nothing else can compare.

Bama's unis are as traditional as you can get. Nothing flashy. Stanford's traditional unis have a little more "personality". They have the S on the helmets and their shades of white and red are a little more bright than Bamas.
But I like this Stanford unis.

If Stanford would get rid of helmet stickers they would win. But given that no real team will have helmet stickers, I must go with Bama.

So many teams did this in the olden days, Bama is the only one that stuck with the segregation era unis.

If anyone but Bama had those uniforms they’d be universally considered the worst in college football. I get tradition, but strictly fashion-wise they’re terrible.

Being iconic doesn't mean it looks good.
The Toronto Sharaton is "iconic" it's still hideous.
Dodgers stadium is iconic. It's still a shithole.
Lady Gaga is iconic, yet, she's objectively pretty ugly.
Being iconic has nothing to do with aesthetics.

LA Coliseum is maybe the most iconic stadium outside of the Rose Bowl...but it's a dump.
Like I said, lots of teams had those old high school helmets that Bama still wears but they grew out of them.
In fact Penn State grew more iconic by dumping the stupid high school numbers on the helmet.
And just going all white.
Which looks better.
I applaud Alabama with sticking with the same unis but they weren't unique then and they aren't unique now. Just looks like old high schools.
