Yup.

A 6’ 7” point forward. Great passer, could score when he wanted to, as elite as a defender can be. He’s on any team I would put together.

Can't shoot.

Put up a starting 5 that could beat this team......I'll wait.

Anybody who puts Kobe on their starting five is just completely dumb.

You obviously didn’t closely follow his career. There were bouts were he publically stated before hand he was focusing on PG and would get 15+ assist per game.

Kobe did whatever it took to win. Look at the 2008 Olympic team.

Interesting lineup. I'm not sure if it's the best, but it'd be fun to watch.

I wouldn't want Shaq on my team because he's a liability at the FT line. It's not an insignificant consideration.

That's why I went Hakeem instead.

Spalding would never be able to make enough basketballs to keep these two happy if they were on the same team....

Give me Shaq, but this aint far off.

ETA - Damn, i think i want Larry legend over Kobe. Kobe brings nothing to the table that MJ doesnt already.

You keep Lebron off because of chemistry being one the the reasons but you think Jordan and Kobe playing together is a good idea? They would hate each other being on the same team.

Yeah Kobe playing with his idol, best to ever play the game, would have issues...a lot of ignorance being exposed on this thread.

A lot of intelligent posters being illuminated as well. This thread is turning out much better that expected. Thanks everyone

Kobe already has issues sharing the ball and spotlight with another player on your team that played a completely different position.

Seriously, how stupid are you?

Would almost be tempted to put prime Rodman on mine strictly for boards and defense.

Magic
MJ
Lebron
Duncan or yes even Dennis Rodman because he doesn’t even have to score
Shaq

I’m taking this thread as who you think would be the best 5 playing together as a team of all time not individually best at position.

I'll say it again. Anyone who has Kobe on their team is objectively stupid.

Yes. Hard for some people to reply intelligently that don’t understand basketball.

Obviously some tempting replacements for Pippen and Kobe, but no doubt about Durant - just hope he comes back from the Achilles and avoids the Bo Jackson thing where people don’t appreciate his greatness due to career shorting/limiting injury

Lebron needs to dominate the ball offensively to be effective and is not a great one on one lock down guy, his great defensive plays are off the ball and chase down blocks. They make great highlights but he hasn’t shown the tough killer instinct Jordan, Pippen, Kobe did to just shut someone down and kill their spirit.

Lebron would be in the team but mainly for political reasons...and then he would get kicked off the team for being a locker room problem.
