There was contact while he was at Duke. The three people that interview were Spurrier, Mike Shannan, and Mike Archer.

Second time y'all already hired him before Saban announced he was going to the NFL and we hired Miles.

Thinking he was too small to be a major contributor, my beloved dodgers gave up on Pedro Martinez and traded him for Delino Deshields. The Dodgers had some pretty good teams in the mid to late 90's. Pedro just might have put us over the hump.
