Besides name, why is Ohio State ranked #1?

They have looked average against average teams this year. They never show up for a first half.

Schedule, but not only are they struggling today but ND is getting their asses handed to them. Very bad day so far

They beat ND and Penn State. That might not be that impressive with ND getting manhandled today, but look at the schedules of the other top contenders.

Wins over Penn St and ND going into this weekend were as impressive as any other undefeated team has. I didn't have a problem with it. As more results compile, the rankings change.

Has any team dominated every game they played? Only really Michigan but they've only played scrubs. Even UGA was lackluster against South Carolina and Auburn.

Michigan hasn't played anyone.
Georgia schedule so far hasn't been the greatest, and they have struggled early in games vs terrible competition.

What does schedule have to do with how good a team is? Osu won at last second vs ND. Uga is being uga lately and stomping the competition. Mich has whipped their teams while osu struggles weekly
