La Tech in Shreveport vs A&M should be a pretty good game to start off next season

Still think Tech should have played them in Ruston though

is he overrated? i dont think so, he has won at every stop and turned the offense around at each stop. asu was loaded anyways. they wont beat both oregon or nebraska, 99% chance they win neither

They reload.

In all sincerity - USM, Ohio, Arky State, Houston, et al.

The mid-major cinderalla is a thing of the past.

Undefeated teams have been left out of the BCS on muliple occasions - Tulane (1998), Marshall (1999) and Boise State (2004, 2008).

Ark St. is coming to Lafayette this year. They're going to get their dicks kicked in.

Malzahn's mercurial rise coincided with Cam as well. Is this guy overrated?

I would agree. Plus some people are better coordinators than HC

Did they lose anyone? Is Apline still there?

Aplin is still there. The defense has some gaps from last year's but apparently they got some good JUCO kids.

Yea I realized the OP said Apline is there so I deleted it. Theyre gonna have talent but you never know with a new coach. If they play like they did with freeze they will be a damn good team. But I don't see them beating Nebraska and Oregon. Hell I think we (the Cajuns) have a better shot at beating Florida and Oklahoma state. But I'm a homer

I believe those were all prior to the 5th BCS Bowl game being added, & the pathway for a nonAQ school became easier.

I agree with mstiger, that today a undefeated team wouldn't get left out, unless their is more than one.

I think Arky st. actually has a tough schedule looking at it. They've gotta play at Oregon, at Nebraska, & at ULL, I don't see anyway they win Oregon or Nebraska, ULL should be close but I'm sure they will be slight favorites.
I think they are #1 bc if they beat Oregon and Nebraska they have a fantastic shot. La Tech could run the table and probably still get left out, since their best game is Texas Tech
