That report has to be bad for them to fire Briles.
This isn't a big state SEC school we're talking about. Their academic/moral reputation actually matters to Baylor alumni

Sam U never played a down. The other one didn't after his conviction.
Ahhhh. I thought he meant just played ever. Yeah Elliot played, but not after he was convicted obviously.

They sure haven't acted like it over the last 10-15 years

That's funny coming from a conference like the ACC team with teams like FSU and North Carolina.

Does Briles now become the next Mike Price, Dennis Francioni or Houston Nutt? Or will he resurface at a top 50 school?

He's an Auburn fan

That's ground zero for the kind of people who group think themselves into a massive delusional persecution complex. A shite load of them have essentially been taught their religion is under attack and to distrust the media and govt from birth so it's no surprise that when their football team got good they were quick to believe all the rape allegations were simply lies meant to bring them down.
This, they combine the Christian persecution complex, the conservative persecution complex and the small athletic program persecution complex all into one incredibly dense ball of delusion and denial.

Ok, here is the timeline on the other rapey things going on there as well.
again. lots of allegations with few convictions
elliot is a scumbag, was suspended when formal criminal chargers were pressed, and he got 20 years in jail
oakman (who i know now has a new charge) got into an argument at PSU and a domestic with a gf. not exactly big deals

Cordell Dorsey, an Abilene Cooper high school football player who was committed to play for Baylor, was arrested for alleged aggravated sexual assault of a child, an 11-year-old girl who claimed Dorsey molested her multiple times during the summer.
According to the arrest report, a sexual assault nursing exam supported the girl’s allegations
Dorsey's charges were later dropped, and was allowed to enroll at Baylor and join the football team in 2014 (transferred to ACU in 2015).
i doubt seriously that Baylor/Briles have the reach to affect that local PD/DA

Why can't aggy divorce the football implications of this story from the actual story. You guys are cheerleading this because you want to see the ruin of your in-state rival, not because people were actually harmed by what happened there. It is sad.

Wow that's even more hypocritical
Posted on 5/26/16 at 11:20 am to GenesChin
Not true at all. They kept him much longer than most schools would have.
And the thing is, as much as I hate that scumbag I'm not happy at all about this. It makes me sad and scared for what all has happened in Waco.

i'll rephrase that question
were any players who were indicted of a felony allowed to play after the indictment?

When the details from the report from the Law Firm come out, expect Briles to be charged with multiple crimes.
Posted on 5/26/16 at 11:21 am to SlowFlowPro
You're skimming needs some refinement. Look at what they did in response in their investigations. You keep focusing on playing time and not the school's role in investigating these things. Armstead's timeline is pretty alarming. Not reopening investigations when criminal charges are brought is a massive red flag. Gag ordering this stuff to suppress it, the whole gamut.

No.

briles comes off as one of those "good ole baw" types that players love. i think he'd do well at a big school
with the report being labeled as "toxic" no one in their right mind would hire him...
Probably end up the HC at Auburn DEC2016 after me saying that

I have always questioned baylor's academic reputation ever since they offered me a partial scholarship in 08.

What their basketball program did 10 years ago was even worse. Baylor is just being Baylor.
