The lease "arrangements" with Goldsby are probably as follows:

Team pays for lights
Team keeps the field up for duration of season.
Goldsby/BRCC takes all concession money.


Goldsby's field itself USED to be pretty damn decent. In the last year or two it has really fallen off. The stadium itself needs some routine maintenance. The paint one the structure looks like it was last refreshed in about 1980. The fences are patched with scrap pieces of wood and corrugated metal that don't match colorwise so they all stand out. The netting/screen protecting the fans is old rusted chickenwire. Given a reasonable budget, the facility COULD be turned into a pretty cool nostalgic looking baseball field. The location gets worse by the day.

Maybe as a fund raiser, they could sell guesses on the number of gunshots heard by the 7th inning. Ya know, like a 50/50 raffle kind of thing.

** Correction: I see now that BREC actually owns the field so the lease terms will be a lot different. I guess that also means no beer sold at the games.
