I mean she tapped into the Adam Carolla/Loveline genre of the late 90s, but only marketed toward women. A show like that I think will always have an audience.

She struck when the iron was hot for young professional women. Women that age listen to lot of podcasts. I’m not surprised she got popular.

I think where Portnoy gets it confused is I don’t think most men want to listen to women talk sports. So having these brain dead bimbos on their sports panels actually hurts the audience. If you want to use the women barstool employs it needs to be on shows like CHD that are clearly marketed toward women

Thing about that is, most guys don’t really care to listen to some dude talk about how many women he’s fricked, etc. I’m not sure what the appeal is for women to listen to that type of podcast either.
