Think they'll do a Fair Play segment?

They get those guests because of their personalities and the difference of the way they do the interviews. And they are friends with most of these guys. I can listen to an athlete give a bullshite interview anywhere.

There could be a better medium which would give the show better lasting power and more credibility . All I'm saying

Lebatard is almost like those guys except he's not funny
they both have the same premise of not taking things seriously and being a spoof of a sport show.

But lebatard does the serious stuff way more, obviously.

Lebatard used to be the GOAT show, before it went national. Like most things going for that long, it's become stale.

Yeah but all three of those interviews were bad because of the guests moreso than them. Kareem was boring as hell

Yeah those were awful. And of course AJ Green.

Well this is EXTREMELY confusing, because its basically the same show except without the far left politics and actually funny.
It's almost like different people have different opinions on what they think is funny.

I loved listening to Bill Walton but I know I'm in the minority. I love that guy.

They are currently co hosting one of ESPNs biggest radio shows, get a million listens per podcast, and keep getting bigger and bigger guests.

I'm guessing whatever they are doing, is working pretty well

They'll sometimes get pretty serious with the guests...

But they get certain guests because its fun. Its a ridiculous atmosphere.

And they sometimes get people to say shite they've never admitted on a serious show.

See my post about how PMT fans melt if you don't say anything but nice things about them.

We're pretty dang fair when it comes to PMT imo.

We usually all agree if an interview was good or not.

We also understand it's not for everyone.

Maybe you, definitely wouldn't say "we"

I listened to my 1st episode, and I didn't post anything to say it was horrible or I'd never listen again. I simply said the episode wasn't entertaining or i just didn't like it, something along those lines. The very 1st reply I got was from a poster saying something like, "Don't be that guy"

Like it was the most unbelievable thing ever for someone to not enjoy every single episode of PMT ever. And that was just my first experience, not others I've seen.

Allowing guys like them a platform is why espn is dying.

I know they are doing well just saying the could broaden their demographic outside of the 18-25 yr olds. Or maybe they don't want too, that's fine

I'll pick and choose based on guest and see if it can reel me in more. I'll try the Harbaugh one but thought for sure this board said it was awkward and bad

Their demographic is sports fans that are tired of hot take radio. Don't think it's as limited as you think. But they are getting national exposure right now, whatever their demographic is, it's clearly more than enough than they need
