Did JR lead us to a NC? My memory is failing me.
He led us to a 10-2 regular season....just like Flynn.

The fact remains...no National Championship for JR.
Mauck won 1.
Flynn won 1.
Out of those three quarterbacks, give me Flynn any day -- NO QUESTION. I'd also take Mauck WELL before JR. JR is a pathetic excuse for a quarterback, and my source is anyone who has watched him play.
End of discussion.

Jacob Hester:
Recognized as a second-team All-SEC selection by the league coaches for his efforts ... Led the Tigers in both rushing yards (1,103) and all-purpose yards (1,209)
I'd like to see you reply to that, loser.

Nice to see that JR threads still bring out the stupidest people on this site

I don't understand the hate that LSU fans have for Russell. Lurkers come out of hiding just to go off on him. It's pretty sad
Posted on 12/7/09 at 12:12 am to hi2ulol
so you're going to put up college stats to pump up Hester, but totally disregard and quick to bash JR's career at LSU as if he never did anything for LSU?
Posted on 12/7/09 at 12:13 am to TulaneTigerFan
one thing to acknowledge Russel as lazy, but a lot on here act like he banged their girlfriend.

That's poor logic. You simply don't like JR.
Russell in 2006 - 2 losses in 13 starts
167 rating, 3129 yards, 68 completion percentage, 28 TD, 8 picks
Flynn in 2007 - 2 losses in 11 starts
125 rating, 2407 yards, 56 completion percentage, 21 TDs, 11 picks
But people say Flynn is better because CIRCUMSTANCES allowed for him to compete for the BCS title. Pitt beating WVU means that Flynn > Russell.
I hate to beat a dead horse, but I can't get over the stupidity.

I can assure you that I'm not a moron. Not even absolutely. So I can say that this comment is indeed false.

See this picture under my name? Jamarcus never did that.

great argument. hey, craig krenzel won a NC with OSU, i guess he was better than troy smith too.

Tee Martin > Peyton Manning

Ya'll are the ones pimping JR's college stats when we have posted the only ones that matter. National Championships

I like how on one hand you revel in the fact that Flynn played less games in 2007, then post stats to show the difference between JR and MF.
JR played every game and rarely sat.
MF missed two games against poor defenses and was usually on the bench early in the second half when he had already put the other team away. If Flynn plays as many minutes has JR, he has at least 26-28 TDs in 2007.
