I watched the last play in slow motion.

is there any view that shows ball not over part of rim?

It was an out of bounds play…. Different rules than normal action.

Serious question. So is the defensive team able to put their hand through the hoop, or at least swat it away as the ball is coming down?

Does any player defend the ball more with their face than Patrick Beverley? When he's through with basketball I hope that guy has a good life coach around. He is one off-the-wall dude.

I believe so, because it isn't a "legal" shot. So, you can't have goaltending, because if the ball went into the goal without being touched it would just be a turnover.

Given the way the refs tried to completely rape the Suns the last 5 minutes of the game, that no call didn't even come close to balancing the scales.

Not exactly. Cousins was in the wrong spot and gave Crowder a wide open lane to throw it near the basket

Booker's pick with his elbow in the guy's chest should've been called.

The Clippers were not robbed… in fact the refs were doing everything they could to give the Clips that game….

Interesting...I imagine they could, only because Crowder inbounding the ball cannot obviously shoot and score the bucket, so if he can't score a bucket, I'm not sure how that could be goaltending.

Maybe they could call something else...no clue what? But logically, I don't see how you could give Crowder 2 points for a bucket he couldn't score.

I think once Ayton touches it, the defense can’t goal tend on that shot

I’m sure the defense can poke the ball out if crowder threw it in the hoop but it would be pretty pointless given the play wouldn’t count anyway.

Every article I’ve read has said the ayton shot counted because “there is no offensive goaltending on an out bounds play”. I took the implication being that there can be defensive goaltending in that scenario
