The problem won't fade with weed. The drugs are completely different and most opiate addicts don't give a shite about weed

The thought is to treat with cannabis before prescribing opioids. Preventative not substitutive.

Never mind, I was wrong. They only test for recreational drugs with probable cause. Still hard to believe a regular addict would be able to hide that from so many people for so long in a physically strenuous job

If weed was a good painkiller then maybe. Plus, people that get prescribed at the time, aren't addicts and don't want to be high.

They end up addicts but not at first. They don't realize they are at least.

Alot of people don't feel rite on weed, pain pills don't impair you when taken correctly, weed does.

In the past yeah, nowadays you can get heavy CBD, low THC stuff that aren't intoxicating.

Now you have topical creams and shite you can apply right to the site of pain, not get high, and get relief. Legality has brought upon a whole new world of cannabis research in legal states. Now starting at LSU too.

Not gonna lie.. I’m currently addicted to liquid oxycodone myself. I had esophageal cancer 2 years ago. I treated it with 36 radiation and 14 chemo sessions.

I’m glad you realize it’s a problem. Get help as soon as you can before the scripts run out and you have to move on to something else. Good luck.

My issues didn't start with pain anyway, so I was screwed from the start, you realize you like something and don't know that youre an addict. Then you just wish you never started

Same shite though... They say they will bring you down slowly.. But, they don't ask you, they wait for you to ask them, nobody ever asks

I hope everything works out for you. I don't have a worst enemy, but if I did, I wouldn't wish an opiate addiction on them.

I'm 32 years old today, and I have taken some form of opiate every day since I was 18

I'm prescribed from the methadone clinic. I've never seen but 3 people get off methadone, at that clinic. I have seen about 300 people or so, up there that have been on it years.
