Wow what a game...Turner Field is beautiful, people are friendly, helpful; the corporate box was well appointed; hostess was a smokeshow, people stayed to the end (great 2-1 victory for the Braves)food was great. In short, the best baseball gameday experience I've had since 1977.

while i enjoy going to turner field, i wouldnt call it the best gameday experience. There's one, ONE bar/grill near the stadium. and the surrounding area is dumpy

What does the surrounding area have to do with the game experience?

well he said gameday. I would call drinking before/after the game part of the "gameday" experience

Yes, you are correct. Outside tailgating in the green/blue lots there is not much to do around the stadium. Here's a LINK that talks about it and how they plan to add more restaurants and bars in the future.

And as far as gameday experience goes, it sounds like he was in corporate box or something. One of those can make anybody's "gameday experience" better even though I'm perfectly content sluggin beers in the chop house all game.

yea it's pretty terrible. there's that one bar/grill nextdoor, 2 pretty crappy hotels right nextdoor and nothing else. There are some sketchy areas right around it. It's just not a place you want to go spend the day at.

At the Nats stadium, there are several bars, restaurants within walking distance where you can hang out before and after the games. It really enhances fan experience

Anybody could have a nice experience watching baseball with a hot waitress in the boxes. Turner Field is ok. Will be a lot better once they develop the surrounding area. It's pretty sketchy
