Could mean many things including a hairline to a more severe break.

Wouldn't panic just yet

I would assume just a hairline from the way he went down. Couldn’t possibly be enough force to wholly break the foot..? It was non-contact.

Ugh. That blows. That's a season ender, right?

I'm not a doctor, but in my years of following sports and seeing all the injuries, a fracture of any bone is usually an 8 to 12 week recovery, as long as it isn't something like a compound fracture. Which this clearly isn't that. It's not what we wanted to hear, but it's much better news than a torn Achilles.

If 8-12 weeks is something around what we're looking at, what do we do? Try and go get someone like Roughned Odor to get by? Maybe Adam Frazier?

Exactly there was a lot of torque on that foot. Hopefully it’s not a Lis franc.

7eah probably a little more than a elevated contusion but all teams seem to be super cautious with injuries these days especially the Braves

My guess is they'll ride with Arcia fora while, and see if he continues to hit as he has in his limited duty, and if that doesn't work out, then yeah, maybe they go get someone. They won't want to spend too much on anyone, if they expect Ozzie back, so I guess any bad team looking to unload a decent middle infielder will be in play.

Is Chisholm from the Marlins in play? Marlins don’t seem to want to keep him around.

Why is that, doctor CBP3110?

My assessment is right line with historical timelines for such injuries. Go look it up, if you don't believe me. Jerk.

I haven't heard anything about that, but I'd be surprised if they gave him away without a steep return. That kid is very talented. Very similar to Ozzie, actually.

Adam Frazier was the 1st name that came to mind. On a losing team, LH, and pretty sure he’s a free agent at the end of the year.

Joey Wendle would be another. I know he’s currently injured.

Whole team hates him supposedly. Not sure that’s what we need. I’d assume we look for someone cheap.

He and Odor are both free agents. That's why I brought them up.

HARRIS FIRST HR!!!

How’s that? I got the vibe that he was a likeable player

Obviously, the timeline for the injury will determine a lot. If he’s back on the short end of an 8-12 week window(mid August) Arica becomes the stop gap. Longer might require something creative to cover it.

Pretty sure I saw something on the tweeter that they had a team meeting the other day and it was about him and how he wasn’t liked

That would be a very steep price tag. IIRC, they asked for Acuna for Yelich and Riley for Realmuto. They would ask for a ton for Chisholm. That kid can play.

Yep, I'd expect a big price tag, for sure. If the Marlins truly don't like him, they'd be nuts to just give him away for nothing.
