Snitker on the postgame show:
Reporter: “Who are some people in addition to Riley who really helped you win tonight?”
Snit: “Dansby for sure. That one AB was incredible. One of the best i’ve ever seen.”
Reporter: “How about Acuña’s baserunning tonight?”
Snit: “Yeah Dansby did a great job driving him in on that one AB. He just stayed in the box and was able to put one in play. Incredible job getting that run in.
Reporter: “What’d you think of Acuña’s slide?”
Snit: “He definitely had a head of steam there. Great team win.”

He's out for the season.

Snit has always been a prick when it comes to Acuña to be fair.

Hearing rumblings that an Ozuna/Jason Heyward swap could be on the horizon?

We would probably have to sweeten the pot. Ozuna has another year on his deal after Heyward's expires.

Are we sending a prospect to Chicago? Heyward is a free agent after next season, I think they will just cut him and pay him not to play, not take on salary for a player that has baggage when they are rebuilding anyway.

Snit was Acuña's biggest defender when he got plinked by Urena a few years ago.

This doesn't have anything to do with a Heyward/Ozuna swap, but it's worth noting that Vaughn Grissom has continued to just tear the cover off of the ball since his promotion to Mississippi. The Braves will have a number of different ways to go with him, but that decision needs to be made this offseason when his prospect value will probably be at its peak. If we resign Dansby or go bigger at SS (Turner is my pipe dream), then Grissom becomes easily the most valuable and expendable trade chip we have.

Snit was his only defender. It was and still is a bad look that no players came storming out of the dugout ready to rip Urena's head off and shite down his neck.

yeah that's strange. I could understand these answers if it was one of the many times that Acuna ran through a stop sign, but in this case Ron was actually waving him home.

Grissom and Yates both being moved up.

https://www.mlbtraderumors.com/2022/08/braves-top-prospect-vaughn-grissom-called-up-kirby-yates-activated.html
The Braves announced Wednesday that they’ve selected the contract of top infield prospect Vaughn Grissom from Triple-A Gwinnett and activated right-hander Kirby Yates from the 60-day injured list.
To open space on the 40-man roster, Atlanta activated first baseman Mike Ford from the 10-day IL and designated him for assignment and also transferred outfielder Adam Duvall from the 10-day IL to the 60-day IL. Atlanta also announced that infielder Orlando Arcia is headed to the 10-day IL with a hamstring strain and that righty Huascar Ynoa has been optioned to Triple-A. That frees up a pair of spots on the 26-man roster for Grissom and Yates.

I didn't follow the thread last night, still down in the dumps over the Mets series. Read the thread just now and agree with the comments. Things still looking pretty bleak for the stretch run what with the injuries and the piss poor starting pitching outings lately

WOW. I know the options are slim, but I did not see this one coming.

Doubt that happens. Cubs will be releasing him any minute now. They would take a case of baseballs and Brian McCann bobblehead for J Hey right now.
