I think they're going to try to resign Ozuna for a 1/$10M kind of deal. He won't have much of a market for a few reasons, but if he's healthy, he's a bargain at a price like that.

If they can resign him, I expect them to trade one of the catchers for some help in the rotation or the middle infield.

What do you think a return for Murphy for would like? I know we need to rebuild the farm but I’m extremely hesitant to move Baldwin

And I agree if he will sign for that price he is a bargain. The potential for a resurgence year from him at 10 million and Ozzie at 7.5 could set us up extremely well if those savings are put to other places properly

There is zero reason they couldn't trade them and still sign them in the off-season, it's happened a ton in MLB history, even with the Braves (see most recently with Jim Johnson in 2016 after we traded him to the Dodgers in 2015). There were zero positives to keeping them.

And given that Baldwin is currently trailing Collins on the Brewers statistically in the ROY race, a whole bunch of potential negative.

I'd be fine bringing back Ozuna on a cheap deal, but we need to trade Murphy this off-season if so.

I’m not sure what Murphy will bring back in return. I’m not sure if the numbers back this up but from my perspective he has regressed significantly defensively this year and that was his calling card, again this could just be my anecdotal perspective being wrong.

As a catcher I guess he provides an ok bat but at that price?

Strider throwing batting practice out there. This is depressing to watch.

Had that one tee’d up bc anyone who has ever watched the barves had that written down.
It’s clockwork with this waste of a franchise

Same 94-95 that we've seen most of his last 5 starts or so

Murphy is 8th in catcher fWAR this year, and he's solid defensively. He's actually been better this year than last in all of the defensive metrics for catchers. He should have a decent bit of value. And his price is very reasonable for a top ten catcher.

Shut Strider down.

frick this season. Would rather see the Strippers (that's intentional) play for the rest of the season.

I hope I’m wrong, but unless he finds something soon, I think Strider may be out of the league in 3-4 years.

You are very optimistic. I am thinking 3 or 4 weeks is about what he has left on a ML roster. As far as I am concerned, he can finish out his contract and whatever he has left in him toiling in the Minor Leagues. Once you become damaged goods its simply time to GTFO
