In the first three games:

Braves: 34 runs on 40 hits
Mutts: 3 runs on 18 hits

Hate that we missed an extra point after our touchdown tonight.

Soroka thru 6 IP on 78 pitches after a 7 pitch frame.

It’s a shortened 7 inning game, so he’s going to have a shot at a complete game.

How the box score would look if each game was a quarter of football.

Braves 7 21 6 0 34
Mets 0 3 0 0 3

Glad that Mets fans as a whole are a community of people who no matter what keep the faith through thick and thin and normally are very respectful of others

They're a salty bunch over there.

You as much log in over there you're permabanned. They are soft as Charmin.

Soroka finishes off the 7-inning complete game, 7 IP, 3 H, 1 BB, 8 K, 0 R

I’d take him over Chirinos right now. Not saying all of his issues are magically fixed, but his best is clearly better than Yonny’s best and their worst is about the same.

Grissom went 2-3 with a double that would’ve been a home run except Charlotte has a 12 foot wall in dead center even though it’s 400 feet to get out there.

I don’t think anyone in their right mind takes Chirinos over any version of Soroka, in a vacuum. I’ll gladly take Soroka in the playoffs plus an extra year of control though, while Chirinos makes a handful of meaningless starts in the regular season….games which the Braves seem to be winning regardless of his shittiness

Unfortunately, I missed both of today's games. It doesn't require me watching for me to conclude the Braves demoralized the Mets for the second time this season. The Mets blew leads in all three games vs the Braves in the June series (iirc) and now the Braves have eviscerated them in Queens.

Just realized that Ozzie scored from 1st with his helmet. Insane.

Ozzie's hatred for the Mets warms my heart. From DOB:

quote:

Atlanta has baseball’s best record and wants to win every game, second baseman Ozzie Albies said, but the Braves take particular enjoyment from beating the Mets. “Lot more pleasure, of course,” he said. “Because they always say they’re going to beat us. That’s all I can say; I won’t say much.”

Saw a graphic earlier today that the Phillies have the second-best record in baseball over the last 60 games. They still trail by 11.5 in their division because we have the best record over that period.

I’ll have to look for it but saw something a couple weeks ago that said something like:

Braves could play the rest of the season at Mutts winning pace and Phillies would have to play at the Braves current pace to catch them.
