The "bat crack mic" is annoying as hell. I keep looking up expecting to see huge hits. Deceiving for us that don't watch every pitch.

I'll take it any day/all day over Chip and Frenchy.
Especially Chip...he just gets worse every year.He makes the broadcast virtually unbearable.
Frenchy's not all together bad and I give him somewhat of break for being relatively new to a full time gig.

I don't disagree here, but at least Chip gives the impression of being a genuinely nice guy like his grandfather.

Frenchy is great and his anecdotes are actually relevant to today's MLB unlike Simpson.

I was one of them. And it's more of the expensive contract combined with his slow start that have some us questioning the acquisition. But, regardless, I was really glad to see Josh turn it on yesterday, and I'm happy for him. I hope this is the start of a good run for him and the team.
Max Fried is amazing and quickly becoming my favorite pitcher. Kid has ice water running through his veins. Excellent composure to be so young.

Jim Powell (Braves radio) is a far superior play by play guy.Really wish they'd give him a shot to take over for Chip.

Nope just adding to the statement and Chip being a "nice guy" doesn't make him any more bearable to listen to.
At least Harry was entertaining and Skip was entertaining and a very good play by play guy.
Chip is neither. Both Skip and Harry spent years refinning their craft on radio where as Chip pretty much jumped into TV out of the gate because of his name.

Joe probably needed a break more than he realized. I think Frenchy has been a very good replacement. I really like the insight he provides during game situations. It's nice to hear the intel about what's going on in the locker room too.
