So yeah, the Philly guy complaining about the PBP guy being more excited than the Braves Radio was dead wrong.

What a call!

Unpopular opinion, but I love Ingram for casual regular season listening, but I think he’s awful in postseason/big moments.

He’s incapable of matching the moment with his energy.

Very few radio announcers can go 162 games without annoying you and also turn it up for the big ones.

This is an L bud.

Go catch the calls above. It’s an incredible call.

Morton is not on the roster.

It will probably be AJSS

I think it’s going to be Elder first time through or until he runs into trouble, then AJSS

I think it'll be Elder on a short leash. Reason is that AJSS has bullpen experience and Elder doesn't.

I wish we played tomorrow just so our bats don’t have to sit another day. I don’t really believe in momentum in baseball. Especially in the playoffs. Each game is its own entity.

However, the pressure has shifted drastically. Now, THEY feel like they have to win a home game with Nola going. If they don’t win Game 3, they’re facing Strider in an elimination game with their 3rd starter. Elder terrifies me and he could give up 5 in the 1st and they could win 10-0, BUT… if he can somehow string together a couple of scoreless to start, their bats will start feeling the pressure, and it will get exponentially heavier the longer they go without the lead. Knowing they would have to beat Strider just to get to Game 5 in Atlanta would be in the back of their minds, creeping closer to the front the longer they go without the lead.

So, while there is pressure on Elder to take advantage of this situation, if he can mind-frick himself into believing there’s no pressure on him because we’ve got Spencer and Max behind him, maybe he can pull a gem out of his arse and paint the corners and sink his way through 5 innings.

I didn't either until the 2013 ALCS. After David Ortiz hit that game tying grand slam in the 8th inning of Game 2 and Boston went on to win that series, I absolutely believe momentum is a real thing. Detroit won Game 1 in Fenway and had a 5-1 lead in the 8th inning of Game 2 before that. After that, anyone watching knew Detroit was cooked. The Detroit players knew they were cooked.

Ehhh, I’m not sure about that. They are still in a good spot getting a split. It just feels bad for them because they let a 2-0 slip away.

We have to somehow pitch our way to a game 3 win.

Go hang a 5 spot on Nola in the first inning Wednesday. That'll make the Phillies and their piece of shite fans tighten up a good bit.

The entire bullpen will be rested and available for game three. Elder started two games vs Phillies, allowing six hits in 10.2 innings. He went seven innings in the June start.

You’re wrong. A rally is a real thing in baseball.

ESPN Stats-

Austin Riley hit his 4th career postseason HR to give the Braves a 5-4 win in Game 2 of the NLDS over the Phillies.

Riley joins Chipper Jones as the only Braves players with multiple go-ahead postseason HR (2) in the 8th inning or later.
