I would say Marvelous Hagler, but he legally changed his name because not every sports announcer refered to him by his nickname.

Elroy -- but he claimed he no longer responded to that name, since everybody called him "Legs"

Trivia: He tried acting for awhile, and played a convict in the film Unchained (which gave the world the song "Unchained Melody") and as a pilot in Zero Hour, the film parodied by Airplane -- he plays the Peter Graves role, getting food poisoning and even showing a kid around the cockpit!
